Baseline.
My character name (spell accents correctly, if any.):
Duncen Thorwell
My character full IC name:
Duncen Thorwell
How old are you? (player, not character.)
24
Have you read the whole of the Bayerleyn webpage sections: Homepage; Info & Rules; Joining- Recruitment; The Bayerleyn RP Concept? If not, go read them before to proceed. Ignorance is not an excuse when it comes to guild rules.
Yes
Are you usually free in the "server time" evenings, when there is the RP peak time?
Unfortunately I have a schedule that changes a lot over the weeks. I'll be mostly on for 2/3/4 evenings and sometimes during the days, but that changes by week really...
What level, class, race and gender is your character?
89, mage, human, male

About your interest to the Bayerleyn Retinue.
How did you know about the guild? (Seen us around, friend told you, etc.)
I know the name from a while back. I just started WoW again after a year of absence. I saw you standing around Cathedral Square yesterday evening and caught my attention, specifically with the uniforms.
Did a recruiter / greencoat character directly approach you? If so name him, and please state the kind of interaction (IC recruitment, OOC whisper approach, etc).
I came here on my own account.
What brings your interest to the Bayerleyn Retinue? Why this guild and not another Household / Military (since Households are by de-facto Military in the end of the day - just Household approach the the army as middle age contept and Military the modern concept of standing army.)
I've been part of large guilds in the past, but that was years ago. Since then I've stopped several times, mostly due to lack of time and interesting RP guilds. I've played for several months (on and off) over the past few years, but never found what I was looking for in terms of RP. After reading through your site it struck me as a well organized guild with an actual background. From what I've seen mostly is that guilds talk the talk, but the can't walk the walk. Compared to others I think you have a sense of purpose, a sense of direction, which I really like.

Your activity level for the Bayerleyn Retinue.
I plan on spending most if not all my time with this character. I've got other characters I used to RP with, but with me being back after a year, everything, everyone I knew back then are gone or has changed.
Is this character your main? (Yes / No)
Technically not, but yes.
Is it possible to know your main if the answer above is No? Or your mains? You can inform the officers via whisper for privacy. (Yes / No)

How many Characters do you Roleplay actively? (A number)
As of now, 1.
How much time, in the evenings, would you dedicate to the Bayerleyn Retinue - on a weekly basis?
As much as I can, like I said probably 2/3/4 evenings a week depending on my schedule.
Do you perform other activities ingame, which would be of your interest, with the Bayerleyn Retinue members? (5 men Heroics, Scenarios, Looking for Raid, Arena, RBG, Old Raids Achievement Hunting, etc etc -- By that I am not saying we do them all, but maybe in a day if enough are interested why not!)
I want to get this character up to level 90 and after that do some dungeons for fun and an occasional Raid if my gear lets me.
Do you desire to gear up your character?
Perhaps, my main goal is to RP though.
Resume with your own words which kind of activity we can expect from you as player within the guild.
I'll be as active and procreative as I can.

Your Roleplaying Past & Present Interests.
In which Roleplaying Guilds of Argent Dawn you (player) have been? - List them one by one, and explain the reason for the departure / removal from them.
(This to determine to which RP standards you were used to - and why you opted to move on.)
The biggest guild I've been part of is The Knights of Silverflame. It was a rather large RP guild about three to four years ago. I've played there with my former main, a paladin called Miraliam Munda. I started out as a low ranking foot soldier, but eventually became second in command. I planned activities, did a lot of recruiting and kept a certain degree of quality control. At its peak we had about 60/70 really active RPers which made for some great RP-events. In the end its size was also its demise, unfortunately. Nearing the end of the Silverflames my character had a huge (orchestrated) IC fight with the guild leader and I split off to form The Forlorn Blades. It was supposed to be an elitist splinter group from the Silverflames. It set off great with over 40 active RPers, but in the end I had real world responsibilities to take care of.
I had to leave and gave command to a friend of mine who led it bleed to death. After that I've been part of smaller guilds mostly, trying to find the RP I was looking for though never finding it...
What kind of RP experiences are you presently seeking? What type of RP are you after? (Military, Exploration, Political, Battles & Campaigns, Holy, Romance, etc?)
I'm looking for immersive RP. I'm currently playing a War Mage which makes Military stand out the most. Though I'm also interested in politics and the seeking of knowledge for my character.
What kind of RP experiences do you deem the Bayerleyn Retinue will offer you?
I hope to find the immersive group of players I've been looking for ever since the Silverflames. From what I've seen thus far on the site I don't think that'll be a problem.
Which parts of the Lore do you find the most intriguing and interesting?
I've always had a crush on Northrend. I love the landscape and the setting. It makes for some amazing places to RP at.
Have you ever played pen and paper Roleplay, such as Dungeons and Dragons and similar?
I've got some experience with D&D, used it in some RP-events as well. Though your rules probably differ a bit from what I'm used to. Doesn't matter for I'm a fast learner!

Of delicate subjects.
What is your stance toward Erotical Roleplay? (Explain with more than a Yes / No answer.)
I've never tried it nor would I really be tended to try it. Though with the right setting and the right backstory, who knows. I like to RP as 'realistic' as possible. But other than that, I get my 'erotic pleasures' out of the real world (read: girlfriend).
What is your stance toward Emote Fights, Torture, or other gore / violence depicting scenes? (Explain with more than a Yes / No answer.)
I'm a huge fan of emote fights. Or custom emotes in general. That's where ones character comes to life. That's where you can make an ordinary person become extraordinary.
What is your stance to dubious moral or non educative RP such as thievery, performing crimes of sort? (Explain with more than a Yes / No answer.)
If the story turns out okay, it's alright by me. Though I won't stand for random crimes, such as a random person walking up to you and without reason starts stealing your stuff, or other 'lollish' actions like that.
Does it bother you the roleplaying concept of a Lord who sleeps with the women among the ranks? (Explain with more than a Yes / No answer.)
If the Lord in question deems it necessary, why not? If the story fits and if it makes for some good RP, by all means!
The brutality of war can envision ominous deeds, razing villages, plundering and ransacking; a greedy soldier can pillage the deads from a battlefield, and so forth. Can you as player digest that smoothly?
I'm not afraid for some fictional gore, actually I might encourage it. As I mentioned before, I'm pro 'realistic' emotes and RPing in general. I try to be as detailed as I can (without going all OCD and filling out 4 emote bars before finally finishing with one emote).
Be aware that you will be asked, for discretion through whispers, if any of these situations are to be Faded to Black - for example you could end up prisoner of the enemy, but you would not like to undergo the emoted process of how pain is inflicted to extort informations from your character.
I wouldn't mind any of that. So, there that...
Is there anything else not here mentioned, that you are sensitive to and you desire for us to know about?
Not at all, all clear to me.

Player Situation Handling.
Situation nr.1: You receive a whisper that someone is attacking you in a ranged way, a snipe, a throw of dagger or else; in a public place. Eventually patrolled by NPCs too. How do you react?
Like I stated above, I don't mind anything if it makes sense. As stated here, it doesn't make any sense to me. So I'd probably start an OC conversation before anything else.
How I'd like to see it is that there will be given an opportunity to do something. For instance make it known to others as well that you're shooting a gun with a loud "*BANG*" or something like that. In that way it wouldn't be a random emote. On the other side, it wouldn't make any sense at all with the NPC's around in an open area...
Situation nr.1.1: What do you think it would be the guild reaction if we were to play along?
I'd hope the guild would respect my decision to most likely ignore the action, due to the lack of story behind it.
Situation nr. 2: Another playing character attempts to mind control or affect the decisions of your character, pushing it to do things that would hurt the guild or compromise it.
Mind control, another thing. As I mentioned, I don't mind anything as long as it's backed up by a good story and reasoning. If it all makes sense I'd probably play along with it. In the end I'd make my character feel a sense of guild for things he couldn't control but did anyway. I'd send him on a personal quest to regain his honor and respect towards the guild, most likely by seeking out who took over his mind and with what reason and all. On the other side, I play a War Mage… I would imagine him being able to sense someone taking him over and being able to counter it in some way.
Situation nr.2.1: What do you think it would be the guild reaction if we were to play along?
I'd say that if it turns out to be a good story and all I think there isn't much harm done. The reaction could go either way, it's been seen as a positive RP event which could lead to a bigger event, trying to figure out who did what, with what reason, giving the entire guild a new quest. On the other side, if it's being done by a (lets put it like this) loller, I'd imagine they'd be pissed to say the least.
Situation nr. 3: You and another player OOC agreed beforehand that the other player would rob you of something extremely important, or maybe even abuse your toon in an alley, or cut a finger off your hand. But the other player then agreed that as your toon would seek revenge his character would lose a full hand, or a foot. But in the end after the RP plot started and your character suffered its part of the deal, the other player does not wish to maintain his side of the deal. How do you react?
I can only account for my own actions. I'm always trying to be as honest with my actions and the given consequences as possible. Which means I would take my loss and continue with my side of the bargain. If the other player really doesn't reconsider I'd call it his/hers loss, for it shows me not to RP with that person again.

You and the guild.
Would you attend an event that does not suit your tastes but it is a guild event? (Example: We have RP-PvP in full PvP terms, would you skip it if you do not like PvP. -- We have a recruitment drive envisioning that you stand still for the show for 1-2 hours, which in your mind is boring.)
If it serves a greater good, of course!
Which importance do you give to your personal plots, compared to the benefit of the guild through your presence and commitment sacrificing your own small scale, personal / private roleplay to an extent?
My personal plots and all have been put on hold. I've got my character history, but I don't have any one I still know from back when I played before. Thereby being in this guild will be my personal plot. In my opinion a guild is always a big if not the biggest part of someone's personal plot for the player chooses the guild for the character.
Would you be able to forfeit your own RP and compromise to an extent with your char to be able to fit in the guild, and keep to be in the guild? Yes - this is a clear mixing of OOC and IC here for the sake to stay in the guild, assuming you like it, for how the IC would lead elsewhere.
Of course compromises should be made. But starting out as a low ranking 'foot soldiers' doesn't mean I will take away my characters personality. He would obviously listen to orders and so on, but he would still have his own personality.
Will you fully and entirely accept to disregard or keep away from anyone who is in the guild official blacklist? (Yes we do have one; which also includes people which could desert and would logically be dead but for instance they refuse to die at OOC level, or other similar devoid of consequences RP sketches, or OOC pricks which we want to keep away from, etc.)
Yes please! My personal blacklist grows by the day… The amount of lollers in especially Stormwind is amazing to say the least...
Are you fully aware that the guild will dictate how you do wear uniform, which weapons you use, and even could impose you to change your haircut if you look like a cartoon character?
I'm aware and I agree. Though being a War Mage made me choose to wear a sword and give my character (fake) leather armor. We'll have to discuss ICly or OOCly what to do about his uniform, but I'd listen to your recommendations.
Can you cope well with getting told what to do, bossed around and commanded on your character - given in real life parents, teachers, your boss at work, etc do it already? Are you inclined to play a rebel?
No problem. Duncen isn't a rebel in that sort of way. He's smart, but will often keep his mouth shut for the greater good.
Be aware we do not expect you to join the guild and begin to argue on uniforms, or how we do things or handle situations.
I won't.

Of consequences.
Would you accept your character to face consequences over his/her actions that could even to lead to their death in some extreme situations - such a desertion, or a very poor decision in a DMed event?
Obviously. As I mentioned I appreciate 'realistic' RP, by which I mean that as in real life, actions have consequences. A torn of limb can't regrow.
Which other consequences you would rather go through in terms of possible disciplinary punishments if your character would be due to them?
I leave the consequences up to you (though somewhat expecting you won't need to use such harsh punishments on Duncen).
Let us assume your character has done something wrong, and is set to dig latrines. Would you rather roleplay the situation or log off and pretend it is done?
Well here's a moral question. I'd do it if there are people around to watch me emote or within reading range. I have to admit I wouldn't go off and emote just for myself. I'd rather just walk in the direction I was sent to and 'wait' there until my supposed punishment would be over.

Player Skills and Assets beyond the game.
Do you have any talents at avail? (Editing screenshots, or even drawing? Mounting up clips and movies or doing machinimas? Etc)
I've edited several short movies and directed some as wel.
If you would settle in the guild would you perform work for the guild?
Sure.
If you would work for the guild - like to help with graphics for the webpage - or for the guildies - like AA banners and images - would you like to make profit about it? Talking purely of ingame gold - how much would you expect in relation to what? (Example, AA banner = X gold, a drawing of a portrait Y gold.)
I don't need anything really...
Server & Custom Lore.
What's your perception on Custom Lore guilds?
If done properly it's just great. The lands of Azaroth are there to create your own world as wel.
Do you believe in Server Lore and its evolution? What do you define Server Lore and what would you accept as Server Lore?
As mentioned before, I've been gone for little over a year, which means I have no idea what's going on on the server right now. Back in the day I was a huge fan about the dynamics between guilds and so on. Also the rather huge RP-PvP campaigns that came from them.
