Now.
This thing has popped in my mind while attending to many events and its about magic.
Now I can understand the quite high costs for spells, since they are the only difficulty for them to hit successfully.
But the focus I think will need some tweeking.
So far what I see is most of our mages getting drained from their usefull spells in two to four rolls. Yes, our officers/veterans do very finely, but they do have alot more points to spend to their respective skills. Then when the events do drag out long time and turn to long sessions, many of our non officer/veteran mages are just whistling and rolling their thumbs. This I see as very discouraging to our new members who join in an event for the first time and get "oom" in the first hour of the six.
So what my suggestion is, is that give the mages bit more slack in focus.
This can easily be done by either lowering the focus cost of their spells, so they don't so easily loose their magic skill.
Or by draining their magic skill on only successfull spell cast and failed focus. So...if you fail your spell and your focus, you don't loose your points in your magic skill.
To me atleast this latter makes much more sense. Since if you did not really even cast your spell since you went fizz, what magic and power are you using?
Or is the failed spell casting only like aiming it miss or what? So far to me it looks like it is just failure to come up with the spell.
That's be all.
