This is suggestion to event creators mainly and it is about moderation in the events.
First is the time.
While it is nice to have full and full event, the 4-6 hour events are bit too long. Especially considering when they start. I do understand the reason for atleast in Shonn's case with family dinners and such.
But the duration of the events can be rather straining if they last for very long time.
So what my suggestion is, is that the events would be nice to be planned in manner that they last from 2-3 hours if possible.
Secondly.
The enemies. While I can understand that a person cannot hit a ghost with a sword and that a giant will be very strong, I atleast personally am getting tired of the butchering in these events.
So an enemy with 10 health points is not bad, an enemy with 6-16 melee and top that with huge amount of strenght, is rather annoying to meet. Why? Because all melee using classes have is melee. No agility no nothing to deal with avoiding hits and alike. Only melee. So an enemy with 6 and more in melee becomes a thing that cannot be stopped.
While I don't moan about not be able to hit and make it kneel. I do moan about the fact that I cannot avoid hits. Yes. Attack it in group at it will increase your chances of staying alive. But if there is two or three greencoats against enemy with 10 melee? They don't stand a chance.
So when you got events that last around 4-6 hours and you get drained of everything and are next to useless in the first two hours...it kinda takes the idea away from rest of the event. Atleast it does to me.
So what I try to emphasize with this thread is.
When you plan an event, do remember to keep in mind who you got with you. We do this to have fun times, so creating an event that is, yes, realistic, but also very very hard to get across the first enemy. That is not serving its purpose. So if you got a group laking plates, serving them with magic immune enemy that eats magic like cereals...it is not going to end well. Or if you got a group of mostly plates, serving them enemy that can kill anyone with one blow and is impossible to defeat in melee is just as pointless.
Also when planning the event, don't make it too broad. While it is nice to have 100 different possibilities, it will also drag out the event indefianately untill it needs to be arruptly broken to get to sleep.
This is to our future event makers to take note of.
