Here you will see that not all classes pay the same for each Statistic.
We had characters that went a bit odd previously with the stats, and this new system is to ensure a hunter remains first and foremost a hunter or at least struggles to outmatch a warrior in melee fighting - for example.
The OOC class in WoW will bind you to a selection of choices.
You will find your Class first, and then you will see below all the Statistics you can access. By the side of the Statistic you will find a letter that matches numbers:
A: 1 1 2 3 4
B: 1 2 3 4 5
C: 2 3 4 5 6
D: 2 4 6 8 10
-: Forbidden
The First number is the DP cost for your first point in that statistic.
The Second number is the DP cost for your second point in that statistic.
The Third number is the DP cost for your third point in that statistic.
The Fourth number is the DP cost for your fourth point in that statistic.
The Fifth number is the DP cost for your fifth point in that statistic.
This should avoid then to have odd characters which end up to far from their class. If you are a warrior, you will be very similar to be one of them.
Pratically A type skills are smooth for your Class, meanwhile D type ones are the hardmost.
Statistics which are the same for all the Classes:
Fate B (1 2 3 4 5 )
Resolve D (2 4 6 8 -)
Will B (1 2 3 4 5)

Example:
I am a level 85 Scholar Warlock! So I have 17 DPs (and 4 Knowledge Points).
I also start with 2 HPs of base.
Let us begin with spellcasting. I can convert to A one of the magic skills.
So ... Fire. A means 1 1 2 3 4. I want 4 point in Fire! I spend already 7 DPs for that.
I want at least 2 points in Focus to not lose too quickly my Fire. Class B, so 1 and 2, I spend 3 more.
Now I want something between Will, Hps and Endurance and I have still 7 points. All of them classed B. So I could take 2 points in two and one in the third.
So, I like Will, gonna take 2 and paying 3 DPs for it.
I want also more Hps, 2 Hps for 3 DPs.
The past point is to provide me 1 in Endurance, being the first point I take, I pay only 1 DP.
As Scholar, I have one extra HP due to the rank.
Last, as Warlock, I get a free point in a Magic school that is not mine. I like demons!
So this warlock is to have.
Magic - Fire: 4
Magic - Demonology: 1
Focus: 2
HP: 5 (2 from DPs, 1 from Rank and 2 of baseline)
Will: 2
Endurance: 1
Then I'd have four Knowledge Points to take.
Hmm, this Warlock was first sent to study as Magi but failed - thus I take 1 point in Knowledge - Magic: Arcana. Knows some bits but cannot cast.
Comes from a wealthy family, go afforded studies, and knows how to read and write well, with some passion for history that the years after the studies have not washed off.
Knowledge: Magic: Arcana 1
Writing and Reading 2
History: Northern Human Kingdoms 1
